ABOUT
Migi works and volunteers at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church. She learns a lot about who she is over the years, alongside her Hispanic Community. Her whole life melts into the main event of her year, the Church’s annual Christmas Pageant, where all the important people and elements of her life meld together in the most genuine, and surprising way.

DIRECTOR’S STATEMENT
Inspired by my community, my family, the way of life around me, I really really wanted to encapsulate the essence of home and family. What started off as an uncertainty, grew into a work of the heart. It’s a story of the people I love the most dearly coming together for one night in a strange yet beautiful arrangement: a church Christmas pageant.
My family was brought to Saint Bartholomew because of this Christmas Pageant when I was about 3. Years later, the Christmas Pageant that had meant so much to me, was going to cease to exist. I stepped in as the new director to avoid this fate. Now it has become this big part of my life.
Everyone comes together in this labor of love to tell a story we truly believe in. It has become part of who we are. We embrace each other in this unique and beautiful way. Our true community shines through.

Migi Fabara is an Ecuadorian-American creator. Trained in the Performing Arts from an early age, she refined her talents in the art of Musical Theatre. Migi’s theatre background combined with her unique and elegant vision have made her into the artist she is today.
Migi is a documentary style photographer and filmmaker who specializes in 35 mm, 16 mm, and 8 mm film. She is most inspired by beauty and authenticity, which are present in all of her work.
