DIRECTOR’S STATEMENT
Cheshire Dreams was first born in the pages of my sketchbook, my horror inspired rendition of of the classic tale Alice and Wonderland. I first started concept art with the simple question of “What if Alice was chased down the rabbit hole instead?” After the end of my abusive relationship in 2016, it became my way of coping through the aftermath. Out of it was born fantastical allegory about how the effects of emotional abuse on a young woman’s life.
