DIRECTOR’S STATEMENT

I initially planned a controversial thesis film, but after three unclear proposal rejections and pressure from classmates, including my closest friend, I faced strong resistance. Over time, this caused me to lose clarity about my original motivation for making the film.

Through this repeated process of reflection, I slowly realized how much I am fascinated by the interactions between people. One moment, people may be arguing, and the next, they reconcile as if nothing happened. It feels as though everything eventually returns to calm. Yet the energy, memories, and emotions generated during these interactions are quietly written into our bodies, our minds, and the deeper parts of our hearts. They cannot be seen or touched. But in a future interaction, these stored energies, memories, and emotions may suddenly be triggered again, often unconsciously, bursting out for a brief moment before quickly fading away.

Rather than relying on heavy editing or dramatic twists, I use long takes to preserve these natural moments, in hopes that the audience can experience the same flow of time as these characters.
