ABOUT
Childhood friends Aidan Ross & Leshawn Horror reunite in their hometown on the one year anniversary of their best friend Eli’s death.
Here they go on a awkward ride down memory lane where Aidan’s restless aloofness & Leshawn’s pseudo-criminal lifestyle threaten to prematurely end their reunion at every turn.
Will they be able to overcome their petty personal grievances and find closure with Eli? Or will pride & self-sabotage keep them forever at odds with not only the past but also one another?

DIRECTOR’S STATEMENT
Easter in America is, as far as buddy comedy short films are concerned, like a fart at a funeral: it’s funny, crude, borderline inappropriate, but most importantly, human. It tells the story of Aidan Ross and Leshawn Horror, two estranged and unlikely Jewish Day School pals reuniting in their hometown on the one year anniversary of their best-friend’s death.
Alexander Rubin, the film’s writer, director, & co-star, is a Maryland-native inspired as much by his humble suburban roots, in all its delightful dysfunctionality, as he is Baltimore’s wily charms. Easter in America captures both in one morbid romp of a flick.
