DIRECTOR’S STATEMENT
Robillard’s newest project, #Stranded By Vanity, is a comedy series set in her hometown of Waitsfield, Vermont starring her dear friend, father, and the harsh wintry landscape in an augmented, pageant-reality of her creation.
#Stranded questions our obsession with beauty and examines moments in life when we’re forced to grow the f#%k up, regardless of our age. And, no, Janique never competed in beauty pageants… she is, however, intrigued by the bizarre intersection of superficiality and empowerment they represent.
