DIRECTOR’S STATEMENT

Telekinesis is a low-stakes superhero comedy that follows a young woman as she attempts to lead as normal a life as she possibly can given her supernatural abilities.  In a world just learning about the gifted living among them, the need to keep her identity a secret is greater than ever. This short film offers an alternative to the crime-fighting, costume-wearing superhero stories that our culture has been inundated with, and explores what it means to have telekinetic powers and be an otherwise average young woman trying to make it in the world.
