MILO’S MISFITS
Knock knock! We’re here!
ABOUT
Milo Danger is a persnickety homebody who lives in the bizarre but welcoming town of Lessmore. Lessmore is home to puppets, robots, and wizards, but Milo is perfectly happy living his humdrum life writing instruction booklets and eating plain toast.
When Milo is fired from his job, he’s forced to confront his complete lack of a Plan B and an ever-growing pile of bills. With a little push from his neighbors, Milo begrudgingly gets a herd of strange roommates: One is an out-of-work superhero whose powers aren’t anything to write home about. The other is wide-eyed octopus with dreams of being a chef but a habit for causing kitchen fires. And finally there’s the self-described “third best door-to-door Door Salesmen.” Milo’s carefully-constructed world is about to get rearranged!

DIRECTOR’S STATEMENT
Our web series will reach children ages 9-13, specifically those with at least on LGBTQ+ parent.
Publishing online, specifically on Youtube, is the best way to reach LGBTQ+ families. As stated by The Guardian, “it’s safe to bet that [Youtube is] already the biggest children’s entertainment platform in the world.” This shows no signs of changing, with YouTube unveiling its “Youtube Kids” mobile app last year.
Every character in Milo’s Misfits will identify as LGBTQ+. Additionally, the writing and humor of the show will appeal to both children and adults in order to encourage families to watch the show together. No matter who watches the show, they will be able to see themselves reflected in the characters.
